Manager of Strategic Initiatives

Early Learning Indiana

The Manager of Strategic Initiatives will focus on responding to urgent requests and important strategic priorities and initiatives of the state’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (among recent ones: new provider eligibility standards, CCDF requirements, On My Way Pre-K).  They will participate in a coordinated response, including, outreach to local Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&R’s), goal-setting and the development of responsive trainings, materials, marketing, meetings and other supports.  Additionally, they will work closely with the Service Delivery Area Specialists (SDA) to engage and support local CCR&R agencies and their community partners on key contract issues.

Paths to QUALITY™ Coach

At SIEOC CCR&R in Aurora, Indiana

Responsibilities: Assist early childhood programs participating in Paths to QUALITY™ through the levels with observations, on-site visits, technical assistance, training, resources and leadership.
Requirements: Bachelor Degree required in one or more of the following: Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Consumer and Family Sciences, Education AND at least 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education AND with 3 years experience working with children in a group setting. Experience working with and leading adults preferred. Familiarity with a variety of early childhood settings is beneficial.

Professional Development Coordinator

At SIEOC CCR&R in Aurora, Indiana

Responsibilities: Responsible for the recruitment and education components of Child Care CCR&R including training and professional development, assistance starting new child care businesses, assistance with licensing and accreditation and other quality improvements. Provide trainings, support and technical assistance to child care providers, parents and the community. This position requires the analytical and organizational skills necessary to maintain accurate information as well as above average ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required in one or more of the following: Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Consumer and Family Sciences, Education AND at least 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education AND with 5 years experience working with children in a group setting. Experience working with and training adults. Familiarity with a variety of early childhood settings is beneficial. Must have experience training adults, an eye for detail, strong computer skills and ability to work non-traditional hours.

Trainer and Technical Assistance Provider

At SIEOC CCR&R in Aurora, Indiana

Responsibilities: The Trainers and Technical Assistance Providers for the Taking Steps to Healthy Success:  Early Care and Education Learning Collaboratives Project will be located in North & Central Indiana. Each Collaborative will have one or two assigned Trainers/Technical Assistance Providers. The Trainer and Technical Assistance Provider will facilitate a series of 5 Learning Sessions taking place in October, December, February, March and May, and/or provide follow up technical assistance to assigned participating agencies.  They will build rapport with the leadership teams from the participating agencies and support their growth and development toward healthier practices within their organizations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Early Childhood Education or a related field, significant experience as a trainer and technical assistance provider, significant experience within the child care sector, and ability to travel to assigned centers within normal working hours, as well as evenings when necessary.
