Madison County Pre-K Program Awarded $55,000

We’re excited to announce our latest capacity building grant winner! Congratulations to Transition Resources Corporation Head Start Center, awarded $55,000 to create 20 more high-quality seats and increase program quality.

The capacity building grant will be used at its Madison Park Church of God’s North Campus site, located in Anderson. The program already operates one classroom at the location and this funding will be used for facility improvements, classroom materials as well as for curriculum and instructional supports required to open a second room. Through this process, the center will also reach Level 4 on the state’s Paths to QUALITY rating system, the highest ranking possible.

“Head Start programs like this help bring valuable early childhood educational opportunities to families in need. We are proud to partner with Transition Resources Corporation to fund these new, permanent spots for Madison County families and to create more access to high-quality programs for them and future generations of Hoosiers,” said Julie Goldsberry, Early Learning Indiana Acting CEO.

Since 2015, we have awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to create an additional 1,300 high-quality seats throughout the state.
