New certification available for early childhood trainers!

We’re excited to partner with ZERO TO THREE to offer a unique Training of Trainers series that certifies state-credentialed early childhood trainers to provide: expert guidance, professional development, and support to advance the knowledge and practice of the infant-toddler workforce, as defined in the ZERO TO THREE Critical Competencies for Infant-Toddler Educators™.

The Critical Competencies detail what educators can do to make the most of teacher–child interactions, to turn them into valuable learning opportunities that support infants’ and toddlers’ social–emotional, cognitive, and language and literacy development.

The Critical Competencies tools and professional development:

  • Support educators who work in group settings (center-based and family child care homes) with infants, toddlers, or both;
  • Focus on pedagogy—the method and practice of teaching; and
  • Emphasize considerations for supporting high-needs populations and multi-language learners.

The ZERO TO THREE Critical Competencies for Infant-Toddler Educators™ Training of Trainers series will be delivered through five 2-day events spread throughout 2018. Applicants must be able to attend the entire series. This Training of Trainers series is offered without charge and lunches will be provided. All sessions will take place within the Greater Indianapolis area.
